
Jimmy Himes-Ryann is an award-winning journalist and documentary filmmaker based in St. Louis, Missouri. Their reporting has earned three Emmy Award nominations, two New Mexico Broadcasters Association Multimedia Journalist of the Year awards, and two Idaho Press Club Awards.
Their photojournalism centering LGBTQIA+ identity as intersectional with the influence of theocratic Christian Nationalism in the United States carried a solo gallery exhibition in 2025 and selections from their portfolio have been featured in fine art galleries throughout the United States. They are an adjunct faculty instructor at the School of Communication and Journalism at the University of New Mexico.
They are currently a producer for Nine PBS in St. Louis, where they produce a range of public affairs and news coverage across the region.
