Jimmy Himes-Ryann (they/them) is an artist, photojournalist, and documentarian. Their work centers queer identity at the intersection of anti-fascist movement and the influence of theocratic religious nationalism in the United States.

 

As a journalist, Himes-Ryann's investigative reporting has earned three Emmy Award nominations and two New Mexico Broadcasters Association Multimedia Journalist of the Year Awards. They are currently an adjunct faculty instructor of video, audio, and photojournalism at the University of New Mexico’s School of Communication and Journalism.
